   As an example of Post Modernism lets look at the Myth that Chrisianity is naturally at odds with Science and that Science which is enlightened and based on facts always wins out over Chrisianity which is dogmatic and ignorant.

   The mythical version of the story of Galilio and the Church and other myths have promoted this idea.

3. Truth is Logical

4. Here is a simple illustration of the Law of Classical Logic.

   One of the following statements is true and the other is false. Both cannot be true and both cannot be false:

   My height is 68 to 69 inches

   OR

   My height is NOT 68 to 69 inches

5. Truth is Essential

6. Without acceptance of some basic truths, our society would be in chaos.

   The Truth is True and Fallacies are False, period.

   The Truth is true whether it is believed or not. Reality completely is independent of what is believed.

7. Truth Matters

8. Hurting people need The Truth. The Truth is needed for this life and certainly for an eternity of life as opposed to an eternity of death.

   A lot of people say “The truth (any truth) will set you free.” while they have no idea what the Scripture that says that is really talking about. See this in context in John 8:31 & 32
   Jesus is speaking of Himself as THE TRUTH.

   God has given us His Truth. We better not continue to be guilty of keeping it to ourselves. We need to be faithful with what we have been entrusted with as believers.
